For Lisa Ebbert, sharing the “sweet life” is all about family. She comes from a tradition of bakers; her grandfather was Edward Nickles of Nickles Bakery and her father, Edward Davis, graduated from the American Institute of Baking in Chicago. She grew up experimenting in the kitchen as well as working at Nickles Bakery and A Taste of Paris Bakery in Ridgefield, Connecticut. An early exposure to the technicalities of the business, along with the legacy of an artistic family, made baking a natural—and life-long—hobby for Lisa.3 Sweet Girls Cakery was inspired by Lisa’s shared love for baking with her daughters, Lauren and Kristen. Spending hours in the kitchen is both a creative outlet and a bonding time for the Ebbert girls. Lauren, an Art Education Graduate from the University of Dayton, lends creative direction while baking and designing full time at 3 Sweet Girls Cakery. Lauren is in charge of all cake design! Kristen studied Communications at the University of Cincinnati while baking and being in charge of cake pop design and production. Kristen designed the Flying Pig Cake Pop which we have trademarked! All 3 girls love meeting and greeting customers hoping to make their visit special!
After years of hearing friends insist that she was “on to something” Lisa finally listened and 3 Sweet Girls Cakery was born. A master of the details, Lisa, along with her daughters, works to ensure that her customers are happy from the moment they place an order until the last bite is taken. Whether it’s cake pops for a birthday party, a tier of wedding cupcakes, hundreds of cookies for a corporate event or a unique tiered cake for a baby shower, each sweet treat they make is truly a labor of love.
